Scour your closets and slap on some green because St. Patty’s Day is comin’ early! You guessed it, the Pre-St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl is on its way March 9th to Bridge Street in Phoenixville. The St. Patty’s celebration that is always on a Saturday. For beer drinkers, Christmas comes early.
This year looks to be a good one, no, GREAT ONE, chock full of some awesome breweries on hand and of course, the latest addition of Sips Bistro. That brings this year’s Pre-St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl, and hopefully many more, to eight stops!
- Bistro On Bridge
- The Columbia
- Franco’s Ristorante
- Molly Maguire’s Irish Restaurant & Pub
- Pepperoncini’s Sotto
- Pickering Creek Inn
- PJ Ryans
- Sips Bistro and Bar
In case you don’t know how these Pub Crawls work, here’s Pub Crawlin’ 101- you start and stop wherever you want. You make the itinerary. There’s absolutely no cover. Just pay as you go and do your best to support every stop on Bridge. Of course, be responsible, but there’s enough time to hit everywhere. Just make sure to pace yourself. Got it? Good!

What I personally love about this particular Pub Crawl is the variety of craft beers that you’d normally not see at these locations. Each bar, or what I deemed for these occasions, “Crawl Spot,” has a designated brewery or two they put on tap or serve in bottle. It’s a great way for patrons to attempt something beyond the norm and open up their palette to some awesome beer. To me, it’s more than just a Pub Crawl, it is an experience. I’d have to imagine this is one event that gets folks on the Craft Beer Bandwagon.
So what’s on the horizon? To name a few, you can expect to see a firkin of Arcadia Ales Cocoa Loco at Bistro on Bridge and Tröegs Brewing Company’s Perpetual IPA showcased at Molly Maguire’s. Pickering Creek Inn always delivers with a number of assortments that include Weyerbacher, Bear Republic and much more! You can get the full rundown on the Pub Crawl’s Facebook.
And it wouldn’t be a St. Patty’s Pub Crawl without that notorious Green Beer. You can expect to turn your tongues green at Bistro on Bridge, who is sure to have some green suds available, getting you in all the right Irish Spirits. Hey, everyone’s Irish on St. Patty’s Day, no matter if it’s the 17th or the Saturday prior.
For a full list of what’s being served where, you can obtain all the Phoenixville Pub Crawl updates on their Facebook Fan Page. Also, make sure to share the event with family, friends and of course, that co-worker who has a shamrock sticker on his lap top bag!
If you’ve been to the last few Pre-St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawls, you know this is a no-brainer! Mark those calendars for Saturday, March 9th. Festivities kick off at noon.
