  1. I LOVE IRON HILL BREWERY! The PIG IRON PORTER is the BEST!!! Love their SEASONAL BEERS too if in the creative mood! They have great BURGERS, WOOD-FIRED PIZZA, good spicy okra-tinged GUMBO. I love their STEAKS, the BEAUTIFUL WOMEN that work there, and am buddies with the assistant brewer, MATT!! You can catch the two best SPORTING EVENTS on TV there, so you won’t miss a moment of any PHILLY SPORTS TEAM or WORLD SPORT EVENT!

  2. Really Diane what a snarky swipe from you! Whether you agree or not that was simply mean.

IHB has so far been one of the few consistent places we have eaten at service and foodwise. The beer is solid, the food the same and the servers if you take the time to actually be nice are wonderful people and really try hard. Most of the other places you list in your rant including McDonalds depend on the night, the server and the kitchen staff. Guess in the end I am glad you don’t care for IHB, that way I never have to sit next to you. Phyllis hope to see you at IHB soon over a pint.

  3. WOW Phyllis, Iron hill is better than Majolica, Black Lab, Daddy Mims! You would LOVE Mc Donalds….obviously you have really high standards.

    • Wow Diane. How rude. Dollar for dollar on Bridge Street, Iron Hill has them all beat, hands down. An easy way to compare this is to look into the windows of these restaurants at any given time. Iron Hill and PJ Ryans are packed on any given night. The number of customers tells you all you need to know. Molly’s would be my third choice. I love the building and decor, but I’m not impressed with the quality of their food lately, and the staff isn’t as friendly or efficient as the other two. If I want a pricey dinner with more variety I’ll drive into Center City.

  4. Like Iron Hill, although I have hit or miss service and that goes along with the food.

Food can be good, nice selection of both Appetizers and dinner options, although some of the dinner selections are a bit $$$.

Thus far have only had a chocolate desert from them and it was GREAT altough a bit too rich for one person to eat it all!

I like Martinis and there not too bad with making them! And I like the selections they offer.

Wish the bar area was a bit larger.

  5. Love it here. It is a great place to bring kids and the food is always good. We are regulars and love the staff there too. They are so nice! The mug club is a great idea and very rewarding when you dine at Iron Hill especially as often as we do. :-)

  6. Hmmmm You couldn't have been to many of the restaurants if you think Iron Hill is tops. I've been there several times each time thinking maybe it will be better but it always diappoints. The portions are tiny, nothing special and not well prepared. Two fingerling potatoes on the plate with not a drop of moisture is definitely a bad idea. The creative alcoholic beverages are great and I think that's the main attraction.

  7. Iron Hill has great food it is the only restaurant we will dine in on Bridge St. Tried them all!
