I LOVE BLACK LAB BISTRO in PHOENIXVILLE!! I made friends with GUY CLAUSON (chef & owner) and CATHY (co-owner) after dining there a number of occasions. They have AMAZING SERVICE, KATE, JIM, CORINNE, CRYSTAL, MAI, GAYLE are all very knowledgeable. The FRISEE SALAD, TUNA TARTARE w/Wasabi, House CAESAR SALAD are all spectacular!! They have really good BURGERS (medium-rare, my preference), their ARGENTINE STEAK and Maryland-style CRAB CAKES are also delectable!! Wash your meal down with some AMAZING REAL ICED-TEA, raw sugar available for SWEET TEA!! They also have COCA-COLA and BYOB for wine. Great for weekend BRUNCH and DINNER and a MOVIE AT THE COLONIAL for DATES or COUPLES!!!
I had stopped into Black Lab with a friend to meet up with a relative who was visiting from out of town and a few of her co-workers. It was everyone's first time to the establishment, and we were all pleased with the service and the food. I had the Grilled Eggplant Baguette – I had never had eggplant before and this was a wonderful introduction! The eggplant was thinly sliced so not overwhelming, but still full of flavor. I will definitely be back to Black Lab!
