Sweet blends of toffee and caramel along with hints of pumpkin spice can be found in your pint glasses Saturday, October 6th. Yes, harvest colors go beyond just falling leaves as now they can be found on bar tap handles. Once again, downtown Phoenixville will host a Pub Crawl to commemorate festivities that originated in Germany. That’s right folks, Oktoberfest has arrived!
When most people think Oktoberfest, they usually think the month of October, but truth be told, Oktoberfest is a sixteen day festival in Munich that begins mid September and ends the first week of October. So what better way to keep the tradition alive than with a Pub Crawl, Phoenixville style!
If you’ve never participated in an Oktoberfest Pub Crawl on Bridge Street, well, be sure to expect tons of free giveaways, delicious brats, boot sized drinks and a variety of Oktoberfest style beers! This is a pay-as-you go event. No cover charge or tickets necessary!
The event starts 12 noon, where you’ll find participating restaurants decked out for the fun! Participants include Bistro on Bridge, Franco Ristorante, Molly Maguire’s, Pepperoncini Sotto, Pickering Creek Inn and PJ Ryan’s Pub. All spots will feature Sam Adams Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ale on special, but expect to find a number of fall favorites from Weyerbacher, Sierra Nevada, Spaten and much more!
Beer line ups are constantly being updated, so stay updated by following the Phoenixville Pub Crawl on Facebook and Twitter. Remember, festivities begin at 12 noon and the free giveaways will go fast! But most of all, have fun and drink responsibly! Prost!
