If you love to sample the many tastes of Phoenixville, this weekend you may want to check out the Chef’s Tasting Menu at Daddy Mims’ Creole. For a mere $35 (don’t forget to bring along your favorite bottle of vino to this BYO eatery), you’ll get to taste the many flavors offered at Mims’, whose dishes have been characterized as “Contemporary New Orleans Creole with accents of Cajun, Carribbean and French.” Chef John Mims regularly changes the tasting menu, but this weekend you can expect four courses:
1st: Tomatoes topped with goat cheese, smoked bacon and a lemon vinaigrette
2nd: Potato Crusted Bass topped with spicy rock shrimp-mango salsa and served over gingered string beans
3rd: Braised Beef Short Ribs topped with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce and served over a crawfish, corn and andouille-potato hash
4th: Orange-Lemon-Raspberry Ice Box Cake
Satiate those taste-buds and stroll on down to the popular Bridge Street restaurant, serving up authentic Creole meals to local food lovers six days a week. Visit Daddy Mims’ Creole BYOB online at www.daddymims.com or call to make your reservation 610-935-1800. Daddy Mims’ is located at 150 Bridge Street in the heart of downtown Phoenixville.
